Good news

The blast wasn't a blast at all!! It was what they call a nonsignificant cell. Basically she's had a viral infection for awhile and sometimes they slip the brain blood barrier when a person is sick. For good measure, they tested it for leukemia and it was negative. We asked if this may happen again and they said its a possibility. Said apparently when Lucy gets viral infections, it seems to occur. We are so relieved as you can imagine. And I slept for the first time in 6 weeks with no sleep aids. Nice natural sleep! Amazing!!!

Quick update on our Memphis trip

We are home. Just pulled in and I have cracked a beer if that tells you anything how the trip went. They found one blast in Lucy's spinal fluid. Ugh. As I type they are checking to see if it's leukemic. We will know in a couple of days and then go from there.
